Brian Poli-Dixon

Brian Poli-Dixon won the Best New Exhibitor Award at Art Basel 2021 (Spectrum Miami). While critics connect his work to Basquiat, Picasso, and others, he focuses on sharing his interpretations of color, words, and emotion. Like Ernie Barnes, Brian brings former NFL discipline to art. Drawing from his African-American and Italian-American roots, he explores identity and community through paintings inspired by oral traditions and West African Griots. His work has been exhibited worldwide. He maintains studios and a gallery in South Florida, with additional studios in Toronto.
