Jen Ray

New York–based artist Jen Ray creates paintings and performances that immerse viewers in worlds ruled by powerful, charismatic women. Drawing inspiration from 1970s glam rock, vintage New York City, and female provocateurs, she builds charged scenes of female confidence and rebellion. Ray has been part of numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe and the United States and is currently represented by SOCO Gallery. Her illustrations have appeared on album covers, in magazines, and in diverse publications. Her work is featured in Phaidon’s “Vitamin D2: New Perspectives in Drawing” and in monographs including “Jen Ray: Ain’t We Got Fun” and “Jen Ray: Surrounded by Wolves.”
